GESiDR1Prelim database release
This initial release contains preliminary iDR1 recommended parameters and
abundances as of March 2013. The release also contains iDR_YearOne metadata
and targets but not the spectra themselves.
Initially the archive can be queried using the
freeform SQL form,
additional access points will be provided in subsequent releases
togther with the spectra themselves and the 2-D frames that produced them.
This release contains derived astrophysical parameters for
around 10,000 stars from some of the working groups.
The main content in the release is held in the following tables.

In addition, common attributes from the 5 tables listed above have been amalgamated into
a single table view, AllAstroAnalyses.
Metadata from the observations are held in the spectrum and target tables.
Note that the derived parameters in the various
astroAnalysis tables come from an ealier processing so the links between
the astroAnalysis tables and the metadata of the observations (via
specID) is not implemented properly, i.e. the specID entries in the astroAnalysis tables point to default rows in the spectrum table.
