GESiDR2iDR3 Database ReleaseFor details of known issues and problems with GESiDR2iDR3 see the Known Issues page. This release contains iDR2 and iDR3 recommended parameters and abundances as of February 2015. GESiDR2iDR3 contains all the parameters and abundances derived for iDR3 and the earlier ones for iDR2. It also contains the stacked spectra derived from observations made for the GES survey during iDR2 and iDR3 and tables of metadata summarising these spectra. New to GESiDR2iDR3 is a table of metadata summarising the nightly spectra from which the stacked spectra were derived. These data are likely to be useful for investigations of time-varying phenomena, notably radial velocity studies of binary and multiple systems. GESiDR2iDR3 is a release internal to the GES Consortium and only available to GES Co-Investigators. If you are a GES Co-Investigator then in order to access the archive you must obtain a login profile from your local GES Community Contact, if you have not already done so. Every institution in the Consortium has a Community Contact. See the list of community contacts to identify your local contact. If no community contact is listed for your institution please contact either Clare Worley (ccworley@ast.cam.ac.uk) or Anna Hourihane (aph@ast.cam.ac.uk). If you encounter login or other technical problems then please report them by e-mail to ges-support@roe.ac.uk. The structure of the release, in terms of the tables present and their constituent columns, is the same as the previous iDR2 release. The sizes of the main tables are as follows:
The following section describes how the iDR2 and iDR3 results have been combined in GESiDR2iDR3. Combination of the iDR2 and iDR3 resultsiDR3 was a frozen analysis, hence the same analysis pipelines and homogenisation procedures were applied to this set as were used for iDR2. However there are overlaps between iDR2 and iDR3, where the same star has been analysed in both. The general rule applied in combining the Node and Working Group iDR2 and iDR3 tables is that iDR3 supersedes iDR2. However, there were specific exceptions:
Working Group ReportsConsortium working groups 10 - 15 prepared reports on their analyses for iDR2. These reports are available for download as PDF documents:
