GESiDR4 Database Release

For details of known issues and problems with GESiDR4 see the Known Issues page.

GESiDR4 is a full release. All observations from the beginning of the survey until July 2014 are included, which is two and a half years of observations.

This release contains iDR4 Recommended Parameters, derived products (individual element abundances, chromospheric activity, circumstellar disk detection etc.) and radial and rotational velocities as of February 2016. It also contains the stacked spectra derived from observations made for the Gaia-ESO Survey during iDR4 and tables of metadata summarising these spectra.

GESiDR4 is a release internal to the GES Consortium and only available to GES Co-Investigators. If you are a GES Co-Investigator then in order to access the archive you must obtain a login profile from your local GES Community Contact, if you have not already done so. Every institution in the Consortium has a Community Contact. See the list of community contacts to identify your local contact.

If no community contact is listed for your institution please contact either Clare Worley (ccworley@ast.cam.ac.uk) or Anna Hourihane (aph@ast.cam.ac.uk).

If you encounter login or other technical problems then please report them by e-mail to ges-support@roe.ac.uk.

The structure of the release, in terms of the tables present and their constituent columns, is the same as the previous release. The sizes of the main tables are as follows:

table No. of rows
Target 56,434
RecommendedAstroAnalysis 54,530
WgRecommendedAstroAnalysis 191,308
AstroAnalysis 1,653,343
Spectrum 101,759
LineList 35,284,497

Working Group Reports

Consortium working groups 10 - 15 prepared reports on their analyses for iDR4. Note that the WG10 report covers HR9B parameter homogenisation only. These reports are available for download as PDF documents:
