The following table lists some other terms used in the archive.
MEF file |
Multi-Extension FITS file. |
TwoDFrame |
A processed two-dimensional CCD frame from which individual
spectra have been extracted. Typically multiple spectra will be
extracted from each TwoDFrame. |
SpecFrame |
The set of one-dimensional spectra extracted from a single
TwoDFrame. Thus, there is usually a 1:1 relation between
SpecFrames and TwoDFrames. The spectra included in the
SpecFrames are fully calibrated and have associated error
information. |
